IPhone is a nice device but I would never see myself with one. This is a good chance for Apple to capitalize though since many people are disappointed with galaxy s4 design wise... Samsung should have went with a square design.. 4 corners for the galaxy s4...would have probably looked more elegant.

not that they are the best, but they are the most well known and hyped.
I don't see how this is gonna do much about the public eye being on samsung. If everyone is looking at the galaxy, who is looking at apples page?

Because its reported on a cell phone site I frequent. Us geeks are a minority in the consumer space, most people wouldn't have news feeds for sites like this, and therefore wouldn't see it. So fact remains that I'm reading about what they did, I'm not visiting their site to see it.

Everyone is always mad at apple for adding incremental changes to the iPhone, and how they all start to look alike. Its funny now because thats what samsung seems to be doing. The Galaxy s3 looks like: Galaxy note 2, Galaxy s4, Galaxy s3 mini, Galaxy Grand, Galaxy Note 8.0, Galaxy Axiom, Galaxy Express..........

That's what I've been screaming Christian. I was planning to make the jump to the HTC One but now that it's not coming to Verizon, who knows... I refuse to settle for a device... I'll stick with my Verizon Galaxy Nexus and bitch about how every device has some quam that it shouldn't!... That's why Apple should be worried about the ?X" phone. With it, if rumors are true, we can order a device exactly how we want... not having to settle for what the OEMs think we want!

From the perspective of every company its "their product" and then "everything else". You can't tout features that are now standard on others' products. You say the product "just works"...how does it "just work"? What makes an iPhone different? iOS?
It is a good marketing ploy for those who don't research before they purchase though. I'd like to see someone go the Geico route. 99% comedy, 1% product in their marketing campaign. Because talking about features is pointless...they all have the same features! It's all about preference.

Except the iPhone can only run one app on its screen at a time, whereas the S4 like the Note II and do real multitasking and much more. Not to mention the iPhone's screen resolution is too low to watch HD videos and the S4 can show you HD+ videos. Come on guys comparing these phones is pointless when there is a few years difference in technology.

that's a pretty bold statement there Apple...
Desperate? i don't think Apple is desperate at all b/c they don't have to be. the Android crowd still can't grasp why Apple is still relevant but the sooner you realize that most ppl don't care about all the intricate/anal features that Android fans thrive on then it will make sense. the only thing that keeps me on iPhone is their music player capability. the music player user interface is the best out there. also the way my music auto-syncs between all my other devices (iPad/MacBook) is seamless. Samsung's mp3 UI looks cool but doesn't exactly have the best function. Same to be said for HTC, Moto, Blackberry & LG (which LG doesn't count as a real smart phone manufacturer, they just copy whatever Samsung does). Had an S3 before & it really came down to the mp3 capability that i was unsatisfied with Android which is 90% of what i use my phone for (i'm a serious music junkie). everything else about the phone was pretty decent tho. I understand that Play Music works pretty well as far as syncing but again, it just comes down to the stock mp3 players that i don't care much for which keeps me away from Android.

well, i really don't care for some small awards, samsung won both the phone and smartphone company of the year in mwc, probably the biggest mobile gadget awards.
i don't hate apple but " "Because Apple makes both the hardware and the software" hardware ? seriously ? they still depend on LG and sharp to make their display. apple is just the QC, it's LG and sharp's engineers that create the display.

I've owned an Iphone since day one and honestly Im waiting for another phone to wow me b4 I jump off apples band wagon. The software im bored with it. Yes they made an improvement in specs but honestly I believe if apple doesn't make major changes in the next release many iphone fans will realize they are being cut short. Pretty much if apple doesn't make any changes soon I see them heading in the same direction as RIM.

The only people still buying iPhones are the Apple loyalist & the people trapped by all the apps they don't want to lose/re-buy.
