PAR Technology's Rome lab lands $14.2 million Navy contract

New Hartford, NY -- PAR Technology Corporation's Rome Research Corporation has been awarded a $14.2 million contract for telecommunications operations and maintenance services at the Navy's Global Information Grid facility in Djibouti, Africa.

The contract runs for five years.

The Global Information Grid is used to handle computer and other information for military leaders , policy makers and support personnel.

The Djibouti facility, Camp Lemonnier, is the only U.S. Military installation in Africa. According to PAR, Camp Lemonnier is home to a multinational force of more than 3,000 personnel plus about 800 local personnel.
