Arcadia Solutions Announces Strategic Partnership to Support Coordinated Primary Care System in Alabama
Burlington, Mass. (PRWEB) April 13, 2011
Arcadia Solutions, a national healthcare IT consultancy, has partnered with the Alabama Primary Health Care Association (APHCA) as a strategic partner in advancing the Meaningful Use of health information technology (HIT) across its 15 community health clinics in the state.
The partnership represents an initiative led by APHCA to enhance the utilization of electronic health records (EHRs) and compliance with Meaningful Use requirements while increasing efficiency within community health center operations. In turn, the initiative will strengthen the coordination of community-based care while improving the quality and value of healthcare in Alabama.
Arcadia Solutions will provide direct training and support to APHCA providers in the form of seven-week engagements at participating APHCA community health centers. The engagements will involve a complete current-state assessment, including a clinical workflow walkthrough and review of existing EHR templates, reports, and data documentation processes. Arcadia will support APHCA?s efforts to develop Best Practices within its provider network.
?APHCA?s partnership with Arcadia is one based on a shared commitment to leveraging health information technology for the benefit of improving patient outcomes through continued quality improvement and creating an integrated system of care,? said Mary Hayes Finch, APHCA CEO. ?Arcadia brings a tremendous base of experience within the area of HIT that supports APHCA?s efforts to use technology to enhance quality improvement and patient care.?
Meaningful Use of HIT offers a platform to build a coordinated community system of care focused on using organized and strategic data to improve the quality and value of healthcare for Alabamians.
?Arcadia is excited to partner with APHCA in its commitment to increasing the value and access to care through health information technology,? said Michael Detjen, Arcadia?s Vice President and Healthcare Provider Practice Lead. ?We look forward to working with APHCA to create a fully integrated system of care supported by quality data and reporting systems.?
